He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Burns and Anne Burns (Cadden); his in-laws, Robert and Claire Donahue; and his cousins, James Reyen and Kathleen Reyen.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Burns (Donahue); his children, Carolynn Burns (Alex Jezerski), Jennifer Sullivan (Dennis) and Kevin Burns, Jr.; his grandchildren, Henry, Charlie Peloquin, Molly, Madeline, Tess Sullivan and Aidan Burns; his siblings, Gerald Burns (Kathleen), Thomas Burns (Heather) and Christine Martin (Emmet); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Donahue (Carol) and Jan Muehlbauer (Gary).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (9 Leroy St, Binghamton, NY 13905). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (501 Fairview St, Johnson City, NY 13790).
