The passing of Margaret A. Oakley of Binghamton, New York leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 1, 2025 at the age of 97. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husbands, Joseph C. Slodki and Leon J. Oakley; her parents, Julia Fifer and Hillary Fifer; her brother Frank Fifer; and her sons, Jonathan, Martin, James and Joseph.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Pfaffenbach (Daniel) and Margaret Murray (Stephen); her daughter-in-law Sandy Slodki; and her nephew Patrick Fifer (Susan). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, stepchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Church (147 Main St, Johnson City, NY 13790). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Margaret's memory can be made to Catholic Charities Food Pantry, 100 Main St., Binghamton NY 13905 or Mercy House, 212 N McKinley Ave., Endicott, NY 13760.
