She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee H. Dresser and Thelma Dresser (Hoag); her grandfather Don (Carol); her husbands, Frank Simpson Jr. and Donald Rorick; her brothers, David Dresser and Robert Dresser; and her friends, Joyce, Bert Roberts, Barbara and Gene Gilliand.
She is survived by: her children, Edwin Simpson (Glennda) of Spokane Valley, WA, Cathy Sheldon of Naples, FL and Carol Robertson (Joe) of Decatur, IL; her stepson Frank W. Simpson III (Donna) of Wolcott, NY; her sister-in-law Mary Dresser of Westville, NY; her grandchildren, Thomas Robertson (Jill), Jessica Wegman (Bryan), Christopher Sheldon (Jessie), Katie Sheldon and Rebecca Price (Matt); and her great grandchildren, Hollyn Wegman, Mazey Robertson, Hadley Wegman, Max Price (Rebecca Booth (Gilliand)) and Rebecca Yarnold (Roberts). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Congregational Church (3465 N MacArthur Rd, Decatur, IL 62526). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to First Congregational Church, Decatur, IL or to Chapter MH PEO to Carol's address.
