He was predeceased by: his parents, James Garuto and Margaret Garuto; his daughter Margaret; and his sister Regina Pesko. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Garuto; his children, Michael Garuto, Jr., Dawn Garuto-Jewett and Magdalena Bandi; his grandchildren, Tasha (TJ), Dante, Davan, James William (Serena), Amie and Angelica; his sisters, Georgia Taber (Nevin), Jeanie Garuto and Peggy Wandell (Don); and his friend Walter Stevens. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
