Michael leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Michael’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Michael will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: John and Kristina Suvak; wife: Lorraine Hawk; son: Archdeacon Michael W.; daughters: Christine Srnka (John) and Rosemarie Marsh (Lyle); sisters: Mary Dervay and Anna (Richard) Wells; brother-in-law: Joseph Dervay; in-laws: Guy, Louise, Lindell, Faye, and Wayne Hawk; grandchildren: Nicholas Komanecky, Marie Komanecky, David Ligator, Stephanie Srnka, John Srnka, and Jason Ligator; great-grandchildren: Jacob Ligator, Louis Ligator, and Jason Pierce; caregivers: Lakisha, Tammy, and Amy; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church (296 Clinton St, Binghamton, NY 13905). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jason Ligator Altar Service Award, c/o St. Michael's Church, 292 Clinton St., Binghamton, NY, or to the Broome County Humane Society.
