He is survived by: his wife Mary Gilbert (Smith); his children, Benjamin, Christine Canfield (Justin), Alexander and Nicholas; his stepdaughter Stephanie Pie (Ryan); his grandchildren, Bryce and Tessa Canfield; and his brothers, Theodore Gilbert (Judy) and Neal Gilbert (Donna-Rae). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
