In the vast expanse of eternity, Robert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Robert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ames and Helen Cebrelli Ames; his wife Patricia Bonavita Ames; and his grandson Nicholas Ames.

Surviving is his son, Rob Ames (Michele) of Greensboro, NC; brother, Jack Ames of Baltimore, Md; and one granddaughter, Molly Pelta (Adam) The family respectfully requests that, instead of sending flowers, memorial donations be made to: The Robert John Ames Memorial Scholarship, Chenango Valley Central School District, 221 Chenango Bridge Road, Binghamton, NY 13901.
