With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn E. Shepard (Black River, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 15, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Carolyn leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Dean and Mary Dean; her sister Mary; her brother-in-law Allen Ehlers; and her brothers, Paul Dean, David Dean (Ellen) and Shelly Dean.
She is survived by: her son Michael S. Shepard of Watertown; and her brother Raymond Dean of Norfolk, Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
