It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norman Ellis of Black River, New York, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis M. Ellis and Laura Waite; his sisters, Sylvia, Gloria, Cynthia Ellis and Melinda Smith; and his grandson Austin.
He is survived by: his children, Heather Ellis (Chuck Morot) of Mexico, NY, Travis Patchin of Carthage, NY and Justin (Samantha Patton); his grandson Nathaniel; his siblings, Patricia, James, Barbara, Theresa and Sandy; and his close friend Barbara Jo. He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home (632 State St, Watertown, NY 13601-2839). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (231 Bellew Ave, Watertown, NY 13601).
