He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Jean Lyons; his daughter Carrie Romero; and his parents, John C. Lyons and May Lyons (Sheeler). He is survived by: his sons, Russell Lyons and Richard "Rick" Lyons; his sisters, Mary Morley and Kathy Potter; and his stepchildren, Richard Hughes (Melanie), Shirley Hughes, Jerome Hughes (Maria) and Cathy Griffin. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
