He was predeceased by: his father Richard Hasbrouck of New Paltz. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Ruger of New Paltz; his wife Alice of Bloomington; his son John Hummel (April); his grandchildren, Anastasia, Jonathon, Alexandrya, Justyn and Arriella of Palenville; his brothers, Allen (Kathy) of Tillson, James (Gina), Daniel and Richard of New Paltz; and his nieces and nephews, Danielle Starks (Christopher) of Nevada, Deanna Hasbrouck of New Paltz, Dustin Hasbrouck of Cottekill, NY and Cody Hasbrouck (Rebecca) of New Paltz.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc. (2053 NY-32, Rosendale, NY 12472). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, the American Cancer Society, or the Ulster County SPCA.
