He is survived by: his wife Thelma J. Scherer (Kingbury) of Bloomville; his children, Kathy Barnhart (Dale) of Bovina, Dean Scherer (Linda Burdick) of Bloomville, Tim Scherer (Paula) of Bloomville, Stephen Scherer (Darlene) of Bloomville and William Scherer of Bloomville; his grandchildren, Amber, Leah, Stephen Jr., Krista, Tyler, Brianna, Brandon and Kayla; and his siblings, Victory Scherer (Joyce) of Lockport and Patricia Peterson of Indiana. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
