Edward Doughty Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Edward Doughty of Blue Point, New York is shared. Edward, born on January 23, 1944, passed away on September 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Edward will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Edward by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Edward is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Edward’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William P. Doughty and Frances Doughty; and his brother William (Cathy). He is survived by: his wife Veda; and his children, Edward Jr. (Traci), Arleen Veltri (Peter), Thomas Spina (Terri) and Christine Chocko (Kevin).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Home (683 Montauk Hwy, Bayport, NY 11705). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Snow RC Church (175 Blue Point Ave, Blue Point, NY 11715).
