She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald A. Stephens and Bertha Stephens (Brown); her husband Richard E. Shields; her grandson Curtis Shields; her great grandchild Raegyn Shields; and her siblings, Eldon Stephens (Lois), Walter Stephens, Norma Taylor (Phil) and Linda Pacetti.
She is survived by: her children, David Shields (Stacy) of Alma, Bradley Shields (Vicki) of Scio, Jeffrey Shields (Sara) of Lyons and Janna Smith (Dennis) of Wolcott; her sister Judy Stephens of Penfield; and her brothers-in-law, Bill Pacetti of St. Augustine and Robert Shields of Alma. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joyce's memory may be made to the Allentown Methodist Church.
