He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Childs and Helen Paffie Childs; his daughter Camilla Childs; his brothers, Gary, Philip and James Childs; and his sister-in-law Sissy Childs.

He is survived by: his wife Tonia A. Perry; his children, Sara Childs of Eldersburg, Mallory Vaughn (Kyle) of Bolivar and Macy Childs (Zachary Adams) of Richburg; his siblings, Steve Childs of Bolivar, Brian Childs (Kelly) of Hinsdale, Pamela Howard (Brent) of Richburg and Deena Holcomb (Christopher) of Portville; and his children, Henrique, Oliveira of Brazil and Frankie Gould of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
