He is survived by: his father Douglas Shaffer Sr. of Holland Patent; his wife Brenda Laux; his children, Dalton and Mackenzie Shaffer; his stepfather David Muha of Tennessee; his siblings, Andrea Battles (Mike) of Boonville, Mike Muha (Sonya) of Whitesboro, Cheryl Youngs of Boonville, Joe Shaffer of Florida and Krystle Bronco (Joe) of Florida; his mother-in-law Florence Laux of Forestport; his sisters-in-law, Karen Laux of Boonville and Cheryl Laux of Charlton; and his aunt Priscilla Iselo of Lowville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
