Matilda L. Durgan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matilda L. Durgan of Boonville, New York, who passed away on July 4, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Gibbs and Lulu Gibbs; and her husband Arthur "Don" Durgan. She is survived by: her children, Jeff Durgan, Clay Durgan (Charlene), Doris Schaeffer (Rob), Donna Durgan (Steve), Donald Durgan (Jeanne), Ruth Durgan (John), Lonnie Durgan, Rodney Durgan (Melissa) and Lynn Szczesniak (Michael); her caregivers, Brenda and Brooke; her granddaughter Mandy; and her caregivers, Kesley, Jen and Drs. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc. - Rome (418 N George St, Rome, NY 13440). A graveside service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
