He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Cau and Helen Townsend Cau; his wife Carol Howard Cau; and his siblings, Patricia Conklin, Sharon Ray (Clifton), Joyce Ray, Beverly Stellar, Marilyn Manwaring and Thomas Cau.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Cau, Veronica Kastenhuber (Kevin) and Robert Cau; his sister June McMann; his grandchildren, Jacob, Abigail (Zachary), Bobby, Megan (Austin), Nathan and Halle; his great grandchildren, Mabel, Robert, Scout, Serenity and Piper; and his siblings-in-law, Frederick Ray, Chuck Stellar, Clarence Manwaring and Roberta Estep (Ronald).
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Breesport Baptist Church (1811 N Chemung Rd, Breesport, NY 14816). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Scotchtown Cemetery (1068 Breesport Rd, Erin, NY 14838).
