He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Godfrey and Gladys Godfrey; his wife Anne Freeburn; and his siblings, Ray, Charlie, Ronnie, Vivian, Lois, Ruthie, Marion and Dorothy.

He is survived by : his sons, Dan Godfrey of Danbury, CT and Ralph Godfrey of Carmel, NY; and his granddaughters, Katlyn Godfrey and Chelsea Schmoke.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Beecher Funeral Home (1 Putnam Ave, Brewster, NY 10509). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at the Union Valley Cemetery (730 Union Valley Rd, Mahopac, NY 10541).
