He was predeceased by: his parents, Napoleon Vermette and Lela Vermette (Marceau); his wife Pat; his daughter Suzanne Vermette; his grandson Ian Taylor; and his brother-in-law Charles Slater.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul R. Vermette (Christi) of Bettendorf, IA and John E. Vermette of Brewster, NY; his grandchildren, Collin (Erin), Connor, Lily, Haley and Lauren; and his great grandchildren, Grace and Kathryn.
