It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Walter R. Schacht in Brewster, New York, born in Mount Vernon, New York, who passed away on May 21, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Walter find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Schacht; his children, Robert Schacht (Jackie) and Maggie MacGovern (Scott); his siblings, Mary-Ann Schacht (Billy) and Scott Schacht (Kathy); and his grandchildren, CJ and Jack. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
