He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Chappell and Grace Chappell (Lawyer); his wife Sharon; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his children, William, Thomas, James Chappell, Lynn DeSiato (John) and Julie Wood; his sister Karen Chappell Bognacki; his grandchildren, James Chappell, Jessica, Alyssa DeSiato, Cali Blakeman (Tyler), Madison Wood, Kemryn and Skylar Chappell; and his great grandchild Theo Blakeman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
