He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon A. Uhlinger and Almira E. Ripley Uhlinger; and his brother Brion Uhlinger. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Holt Uhlinger; his sons, Norman C. Uhlinger (Susan Carey), William E. Uhlinger (Nadine) of Broadalbin and Timothy J. Magyar-Uhlinger (Eric) of Galway; his siblings, Vernon Uhlinger (Diane) of Ocala, FL, Bruce Uhlinger of Hagaman, James Uhlinger of Dunnellon, FL and Barbara Tortorella of Sloansville; and his grandchildren, Cassandra, Sarah, Matthew and Rebekah. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc. (111 Co Rd 106, Johnstown, NY 12095). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Halgas Funeral Home (111 Co Rd 106, Johnstown, NY 12095). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Hagaman Cemetery.
