He was predeceased by: his parents, John Benz and Dorothy Benz; his sister Elizabeth "Bette" Croft; and his brother-in-law Daniel McGuire. He is survived by: his children, William S. Benz of Brockport, Holly Wright (Shawn) of Waterport and Jennifer Lauler (Corey) of Brockport; his grandchildren, Hayley, Julia, Alana, James, Samantha, David (D. J.), Kaleb and Johnathan; his great grandchildren, KayLynn, Austin and Eliana; and his siblings, Barbara Mosher (Ronald), Margaret "Peggy" Haley, Linda McGuire and Robert Benz (Darlene). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
