“Rest in sweet peace friend??I will remember your smile, your laughter you so easily shared…your passion of everything tennis, your generosity, it was you who worked with me for an entire summer on my forehand and helped become a better player…our Haffen Park tennis gang going each year to the US Open, having breakfast before the gates opened, sharing stories, listening to your commentary on every match from morning til evening… you were so very special! You would speak so lovingly of your daughters and be so proud of their accomplishments… sending hugs to them in this very difficult time, I am so very sorry…Rest in sweet peace friend????”

“Tony Johnson, oh that big happy smile he seemed to always have, a charismatic personality that always shined brightly. I knew Tony from Haffen Park Tennis. Everyone knew Tony’s passion for Tennis. He worked with me on my forehand for one entire summer and helped make me a better player. He was so very generous in life, in so many ways. Every year we would all go to the US Open, Tony’s play by play commentary watching the matches from day into evening added such delight!”

“Continued…Tony spoke often and lovingly of his girls, often telling us of plans with them and filling us in of their accomplishments, he was immensely proud of them. I am sending them both hugs and strength in this time of deep sorrow. I am still in shock of this news of Tony’s passing, but I will never forget his kindnesses, his wonderful sense of humor, his beautiful smile and laughter he so easily shared…I will miss dear friend and never forget how special you were…🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💙🎾”
