Jacqueline Denise Edwards Obituary

Jacqueline Denise Edwards, lovingly known as Jackie, passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 60.

Born and raised in the Bronx on November 17, 1965, Jackie was the daughter of Arthur Edwards and Florizette Eileen Edwards. She was a proud product of her city and her family, and she carried the spirit of both with her throughout her life.

Jackie was a dedicated student and athlete. She attended Iona University, where she played basketball, and volleyball. She then went on to earn her master's degree at New York University. She built a meaningful career in the nonprofit sector, devoting herself to giving back to the underprivileged communities that helped shape the woman she became. Her work was a reflection of who she was at heart; generous, driven, and committed to lifting others.

Beyond her professional life, Jackie loved sports and the joy of being part of a team. She played volleyball and was always ready to take the mic for a round of karaoke, bringing energy and laughter wherever she went.

Jackie is survived by her father, Arthur Edwards; her brothers, Mark and Laurence; and her cherished niece and nephews, Marquis, Monique, Maurice, and Maxwell Edwards. She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and a community better for having known her.

A service celebrating Jackie's life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sisto Funeral Home Inc., 3489 East Tremont Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4199 Webster Avenue, Bronx, NY 10470.

The family welcomes flowers, which may be sent through the funeral home's online portal. In keeping with the family's wishes, charitable donations are respectfully declined.

Jackie will be deeply missed and forever.
