Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James DeGaetano and Carmen DeGaetano (Maldando). He is survived by: his wife Elida DeGaetano (Nikollaj); his children, Nikki DeGaetano, James DeGaetano III and Bardi Bejko; his grandson Anthony James DeGaetano; and his sister Lisa DeGaetano Bauknecht.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home (1121 Morris Park Ave, Bronx, NY 10461). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church (1703 Lurting Ave, Bronx, NY 10461).
