She was predeceased by : her mother Jo Louise Johnson; her son Jason Mordecai Alston; and the parent of her child Mordecai Johnson Jr.. She is survived by : her sons, James Henry Alston VI and Jeffrey Lattimore Alston (Robin); her grandsons, Maxwell and Henry Alston; her sister Carmen Williams; her niece Nicole Williams; and her nephew David Williams (James).
