He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Vella and Mildred Vella (Wilson). He is survived by: his wife Ramona Vella (Santiago); his children, Jillian Nakano (Michael), Jonathan Vella (Kate), Anthony Vella, Joseph Vella and Brianna Vella; and his grandchildren, Carter Nakano, Chloe Vella and Liam Vella.
