Linda Hairston Obituary

Linda Hairston, age 59 passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2020. She was born to the late Clarence Hairston and to Dorothy Hairston on June 10, 1960. Linda was a very strong, independent and private woman. She often spoke what was on her mind and stayed true to what she believed. Anyone who has ever crossed paths with her would say she did not hold anything back or accept any nonsense from anyone, and would quickly tell you how she felt. Along with being such a strong woman with a personality to match, Linda was a mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister to many siblings. She spent her earlier years modeling, living life and later moved to the Bronx where she raised her two daughters.

On March 3, 2020, Linda was sent home to be with our lord and savior. She leaves behind her mother Dorothy Hairston and two daughters Lakeisha Hairston and Shalena Hairston, her grandchildren Kiara Luna, Kayla Luna, Kevin Benson Jr. and Karter Benson as well as 5 siblings and a number of relatives and close friends who will miss her dearly. Though we mourn her in death we also celebrate her life.

In memory of celebrating her life a private memorial will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Bentas Funeral Home Inc, located at 630 St. Nicholas Ave. New York, N.Y. The family wishes to thank those who have extended emotional support for Linda during her final days.
