Marion Fusco Obituary
Marion Fusco (nee Perillo), a long-time resident of Throggs Neck, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous two-year battle with cancer. She lived a life defined by faith, family and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. Marion was born on December 1st 1943 in the Bronx to Peter and Bernadine Rose Perillo.
She was a beloved sister to her siblings Louie (Carmen) and Gloria (Giuseppe). She went on to build a beautiful life alongside her husband, Giovanni, to whom she was a loving and devoted wife for 57 years. For many years, Marion dedicated herself entirely to her family as a stay-at-home mother, raising her three daughters: Rose (Joe), Lisa (Matt) and Gina (Joey).
She poured her heart into her home, ensuring her daughters grew up surrounded by love, warmth and family. Later in life, she brought her talents and strong work ethic first as a volunteer and then as an Administrative Assistant to the Director of RAIN Multi-Services for the Aging. She worked there for many years and was recognized for her dedication, compassion and commitment to helping others.
Marion's greatest joy was being a loving grandmother to Matthew, Christina and Joseph. An incredible cook and baker, she created beautiful memories hosting large family gatherings for holidays and Sunday dinners that brought everyone together. As a family nurturer, she was especially close to and deeply adored by her many nieces and nephews, as well as by her cousins and friends.
A woman of strength, grace and beautiful spirit, Marion leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered and forever celebrated.
