Mary Lacerenza Obituary

Mary Lacerenza née Occhino, 95, a woman of strength, timeless elegance and unwavering grace passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on September 7, 1930 in New York City to John and Anna Occhino.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Marco Lacerenza, her sisters Beatrice Malara and Nicoletta Talamone, and her brother Frank Occhino.

She leaves behind her cherished daughter Mia Rapaccioli (Frank), grandchildren Frankie Rapaccioli (Alexandra), William Lacerenza (Jennifer), Andrew Lacerenza, and great grandchildren Leonardo & Dario Lacerenza, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She lived life to the fullest, with an indomitable spirit and a quiet elegance. A savvy woman with a sharp wit, her presence will be missed by all.

A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on April 1, 2026 in the chapel at Providence Rest Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, 3304 Waterbury Ave, Bronx, NY 10465.

In Lieu of flowers, donations to The St. Jude's Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
