Rafael Negron Obituary
Rafael Negron, age 89, of the Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026.
Rafael was born in Corozal, Puerto Rico. He was the second youngest of nine siblings. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic, a generous spirit, and a kind heart that would define his life.
He was a proud man and a man of honor, yet his strength was always matched by his gentleness and humility. Whether through his quiet wisdom, generous heart, or unwavering devotion to his family, he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on for generations to come.
Above all, his greatest legacy was his family. He was the proud father of five children and a cherished father-in-law. He was a loving grandfather to eleven grandchildren, a devoted great-grandfather to sixteen great-grandchildren, and a beloved great-great-grandfather to thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
Our father had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel like family. His love and generosity extended far beyond his relatives, and he was affectionately known as "Grandpa" to many in his extended chosen family. He was also a beloved Tío, opening his heart and home to his nieces and nephews and loving them as if they were his own sons and daughters.
Whether related by blood or by bond, everyone who knew him felt welcomed, valued, and loved.
Our father will be truly missed. – Bendicion Papi"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." — Matthew 5:16 (NIV).
