Raymond S. Webb Obituary
Raymond Webb, 73, passed away on April 7, 2026, from a debilitating illness which he handled with great courage and a positive attitude. He was born in the Bronx on October 29, 1952, to Beauford and Henrietta Webb and remained in the Bronx until his death.
Ray dedicated much of his life to a career with Con Edison which spanned 33 years until an injury forced his early retirement. His commitment and hard work were clear throughout his employment.
A lifelong sports fan, Ray had a particular passion for baseball and was an ardent supporter of the New York Mets. He loved going to Spring Training games in Port St. Lucie and always believed that this year would be "the year" they would take it all.
Ray is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 48 years, Carol Webb; his brother Bruce Webb; his sisters Patricia Weber, Lynn Hieb, Kathy DePaulo and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Torres. His family and those who knew him will remember him fondly for his sense of humor, his positivity and his willingness to help his friends and neighbors. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on April 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sisto Funeral Home 3489 East Tremont Avenue. A Funeral mass will be held on April 14, 2026, at 11:30 AM at St. Benedict Church 2969 Otis Avenue.
