It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. DeLayo of Bronx, New York, who passed away on August 15, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard DeLayo and Dorothy DeLayo (Lichtenberger); and his brother Leonard DeLayo (Nancy). He is survived by: his sister Dorothy DeLayo; his wife Lena DeLayo (Mazzucco); his children, Richard DeLayo Jr. (Dina) of Yorktown, NY and Debra Forrister (Jim) of Coldwater, MI; his stepchildren, Tammy Miklitsch of Bronx, NY and Ben Miklitsch (Mary Jean) of Pelham, NY.; and his grandchildren, Robert DeLayo, Daniel DeLayo, Sarah Forrister, Sam Forrister and Christopher Miklitsch. He is also survived by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate in his honor to Leukemia or Alzheimer's research foundation of your choice.
