He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Lyons (O'Connell); his daughter Siobhan Lyons; his parents, Ambrose Lyons and Ora Lyons (Cross); and his siblings, Patricia Brough (Lyons), Margaret Kelly (Lyons), AJ Lyons and Richard Lyons.
He is survived by: his sons, Thomas A. Lyons Jr. (Laura), John Lyons (Liz) and Martin Lyons (Penny Lou); his grandchildren, Olivia Fitzpatrick (Jack), Emily Lyons, Thomas A. Lyons III, Sean Lyons and Jared Godsey; and his siblings, Claire Crews (Lyons), Robert Lyons, Ora Mae Barbour (Lyons), Irene Barnard (Lyons) and Michael Lyons. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
