He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hughes and Ann Hughes; and his brother Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Jessica Woods (Cody) and William Hughes (Gabby); and his siblings, Michael Hughes (Caresse) and Patti Balakitsis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schuyler Hill Funeral Home (3535 E Tremont Ave, Bronx, NY 10465). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Benedict's Parish (2969 Otis Ave, Bronx, NY 10465).
