It is with sadness that the passing of Arete Magriples (Brooklyn, New York) is shared. Arete, born on April 7, 1930, passed away on July 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Emanuel N. Magriples; her sibling Kati Diakoumakos (late Petros); and her sister-in-law Stella Vlismas (late Peter). She is survived by: her children, Urania Magriples and Nicholas Magriples (Joyce); her grandchildren, Alexandra Moscovitz, Sofia Moscovitz, Juliana Magriples and Melina Magriples; her sister Stella Papatheodorou (Tony); her siblings-in-law, Maria Magriples and Michael N. Magriples; and her goddaughter Irene Ayvas.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church in Arete's loving memory.
