She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sister Alice (Boylston); her parents, David J. Flanagan and Irene; her husband William R. Berriel; and her children, Irene and William.

She organized caroling for the local senior centers during the holiday season to bring joy to all, worked with the local food bank to organize donation drives and was constantly knitting gifts for her family and those less fortunate with her Nimble Fingers knitting club.
