It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Baker of Brooklyn, New York, born in Scranton, South Carolina, who passed away on November 25, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Verlie McCutcheon and James McMillian; and her children, Simon Jr., Delores, Cynthia, Kenneth, Barbara, Verlie, Ronald, Joyce, Susan, Regina and Tanya. She was also cherished by her 27 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
