Daniel Medina Hernandez Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel Medina Hernandez of Brooklyn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 18, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Daniel Medina may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Daniel Medina touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Confesor Hernandez and Ernesta Hernandez; and his brothers, Joab, Cayetano and Julio Hernandez.

He is survived by: his siblings, Drucilla Ramos and Samuel Hernandez. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Daniel J. Schaefer Funeral Home (4123 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11232). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 9:00 AM. A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Pinelawn Memorial Park (230 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
