He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Maldonado and Jesus Maldonado. He is survived by: his significant other Rosalin; his son David Jr. (Papote); his grandchildren, Rosa Maria (Cookie), Jaime (Jimmy), Migdalia (Lilly), Addriana (Mita), Elizabeth (Liz), Destiny "Bebita" and Elijah "Bebito"; and his children-in-law, Alejandra, Ivan and Santos. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
