He is survived by: his wife Frances Earlene Gardner; his son Royal Gardner (Karen); his granddaughter Megan Gardner; his uncles, Clarence Johnson and Sylvester Johnson; his siblings, Douglas Smith, Donald Smith, Patricia Wooten and Gilda Wooten; and his daughter Valerie Mayo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, and countless spiritual sons and daughters.
