He was predeceased by: his mother Estelle Sewell. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Watson; his children, Annemarie, Alethia, Andrea and Elsworth (Paul); and his brothers, Derrick, Leslie and Melvin. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
