In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anne T. Mangano; and his parents, James Vincent Mangano and Rose. He is survived by: his sons, James Vincent Mangano II (Cindy Voehl) and Guy James Mangano Jr. (Maria T. Fasulo); and his friend Doris French. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Christopher T. Jordan Funeral Home (302 Long Beach Rd, Island Park, NY 11558). A Mass will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ignatius Martyr R. C. Church (721 W Penn St, Long Beach, NY 11561).
His significant contributions to the judiciary culminated in his designation as Presiding Justice of the Second Department by Governor Mario M. Cuomo on March 20, 1990, a role in which he was re-designated by Governor George Pataki on December 30, 1996.
