He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Malek and Tillie Malek (Deutsch); his wife Norma Sylvia Malek (Brody); and his siblings, Florence Schulman, Albert Malek, Shirley Kaplan and Mathew Malek.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Petrino (Mark), Jody Grunfeld (Ronald) and Robert Malek; his grandchildren, Jessica Petrino (Jarod Ball), Michael Petrino (Elizabeth Harden), Justin Grunfeld (Debbie), Tara Grunfeld (Max Marks), Jamie Grunfeld (Tyler Garson), Eric Grunfeld and Margaret Malek; his great grandchildren, Alexander, Eliza Ball, Summer, Rhodes Marks, Ryder and Brooks Grunfeld; his niece Jade Malek; his great-nieces, Lynn Shimizu (Tom) and Tina Lizama; his great-nephew Kirk Cruz; his friend John Bottalico (Grace); Anthony Bottalico (Kathy).
A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Beth Moses Cemetery (1500 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704).
