It is with sadness that the passing of Janice Burke of Brooklyn, New York is shared. Janice, born on January 2, 1939, passed away on September 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward J. Burke; and her parents, Franklin Martin and Lucy Martin. She is survived by: her children, Ed Burke (Lori), Jean Marie Burke, Kathy Maurer (Ray) and Patti Gerber (Steve); her grandchildren, Andrew, Michelle, Dan, Kristen, Ray, Stevie, Mackenzie and Harry; and her sister Virginia A. Cassidy. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, extended family, and the many friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:15 AM to 9:45 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church (111-50 115th St, South Ozone Park, NY 11420). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (111-50 15th Street, South Ozone Park, NY 11420).
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to a charity Janice held near and dear, The Wounded Warrior Project.
