It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Marie Cooney (Brooklyn, New York), who passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Josephine Marie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Sloan and Josephine Sloan; and her brothers, Michael, Patrick and John Sloan.
She is survived by: her husband Robert J. Cooney (Bob); her children, Robert Cooney and Eileen Cooney Oroszlany (Tony); and her grandson James. She is also survived by many loving in-laws and nieces and nephews.
