Louis Castelo Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louis Castelo (Brooklyn, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2025 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Louis Castelo to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Celedonio Castelo of Santiago de Compostela and Consuelo Pérez of Ciego de Ávila; and his siblings, Enrique, Juan, Consuelo, América, Carlos, Armando and Paquita.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Margaret Castelo; his children, Janet Louise Urbanowicz (John Urbanowicz), Leslie Ann Castelo-Soccio (Raymond Soccio), Michael Louis Castelo (Katie Woo Castelo) and Kimberly Marie Castelo-Dima (Gabriel Dima); his grandchildren, Stella Katherine, Charles Louis, Amelia Ray, Louis Aldo, Jack Emerson, Zoe Margaret and Javier Luis; and his brother Raymond Castelo.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Clavin Funeral Home (7722 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Our Lady of Angels R. C. Church (7320 4th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Louis Castelo's name to the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (Donate | Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation (https://www.alzdiscovery.org)) and New York Road Runners' free youth and community programs (Team for Kids).
