She is survived by: her husband Herbert "Herb" Hakey; her son Andrew Todd Hakey; her grandchildren, Anna Hakey and Joshua Hakey; her daughter-in-law Tina Hakey (Davelaar); her sisters, Deborah Grant (Timothy) and Emy St. John; her brother-in-law Orrin G. Hakey (Donna); her nieces and nephews, Stacey Hansen, Shannon Waluk, Charles St. John and Tyler Hassett (Keri); and her friend Cheryl Sutyla.
